Decorator, interior architect, artist and designer, Jasmine Boutant approaches décor as a composition in which everything is in dialogue.

Her work is about connections. Between a space and those who inhabit it. Between an object and its functions. Between material and gesture. Between cultures, eras and craftsmanship. Each element carries meaning and resonates with the others.

The curve is her language. A continuous gesture, from calligraphy to the crescent moon, from the line of a piece of furniture to the flow of an interior. An object goes beyond its function to become a sign, a punctuation within the space. The décor brings these elements together and creates a narrative.

Franco-Algerian, and trained between London and Paris, Jasmine draws as much from her heritage as from the world around her. Colour, noble or repurposed materials, art, architecture and craftsmanship feed a distinctly contemporary language.

She is drawn to contrasts and unexpected encounters. Influences intersect, savoir-faire enters into dialogue, and popular references meet exceptional craftsmanship.

This freedom has been shaped by a multifaceted path, marked by encounters, detours and experiences far beyond the boundaries of design.

During six formative years alongside India Mahdavi, she refined her eye and developed a rigorous, bespoke approach, with particular attention to materials, colour, proportion and detail.

Today, through her studio, Jasmine Boutant creates interiors, develops art direction and designs her own collections of furniture and objects, working closely with exceptional craftspeople from near and far.
